SRJO Day
The City of Seattle issued a proclamation declaring October 4 Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra Day. The proclamation recognizes SRJO’s twenty years of programming in big band jazz performance and jazz education. SRJO’s co-artistic director Michael Brockman accepted the certificate from the Seattle City Council. Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra Day coincides with the launch of SRJO’s twentieth anniversary season, with a weekend of concerts titled Basie Bash: SRJO Celebrates Twenty Years.
