Founded in 2004, Jazz Underground is a Seattle-based contemporary jazz big band.  Their repertoire includes a wide variety of music from Count Basie, John Coltrane and Clifford Brown to Jaco Pastorius, Mike Stern, Tom Molter and Nelda Swiggett.  In addition, the group performs music by Pacific Northwest composers and arrangers, including original tunes by members of the band.
